From 23 to 26 May, delegation of teachers of College of Economics and Management (CEM), Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics (NUAA) participated in the final workshop on case studies of JEUL project online, including Professor Dequn Zhou, dean of CEM, Professor Ying Wang, associate dean of Graduate School of NUAA, Professor Naiming Xie, associate dean of CEM, Associate Professor Hengzhen Lu, Shawei He and Linhan Ouyang. The workshop was held by University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City and the tutor of this event is Professor Desmond Doran from University of Kent. Representatives from Jiangnan University, Banking University of HCMC and University of Economics HCMC participated the workshop.

On the first day of the workshop, Des Doran gave a lecture on “Writing Case Studies for teaching” and have the attendees do exercise with the case study method they’ve learned. On the second day, Des Doran introduced key elements and academic focus on developing case study in teaching and made comments on the exercises. On the last day, all the participants were divided into groups to share their presentations on case studies with others.

During the workshop, Ying Wang’s case was used as an example by Des Doran because it was interesting and complete. Participants from NUAA developed their skills in teaching on case studies through sharing their ideas with Des Doran and observed the presentations from other groups.

CEM, NUAA is a proactive member of the JEUL project, aimed at reinforcing links and collaboration between universities and industry/ private sector across the whole chain of joint curriculum development, joint teaching, research and placement. JEUL stand for Joint Enterprise-University Learning and is co-funded by the Erasmus+ Program under the strand of Capacity Building in Higher Education.
